At Chicks Hatchery Store, we stand behind our commitment to delivering healthy, live poultry to your door quickly and safely. That’s why we offer a Safe and Timely Delivery Guarantee on all orders shipped via USPS Priority Live Shipping.

You can expect your order to arrive within 1–3 days, and we take extra measures to ensure a full count of live chicks. In many cases, we include additional chicks of the same or similar breed and gender to help safeguard against minor losses in transit.

Should losses occur during shipping and you receive fewer live birds than you ordered, we’ll promptly make it right. You may choose between:

  • A replacement shipment (subject to breed availability and quantities), or

  • A refund based on the per-bird price (excluding shipping and handling).

To file a claim, simply log in to your account or call our customer service team. Please note: all claims must be submitted promptly upon delivery.

🐥 Important Care Guidelines Upon Arrival

To maintain chick health after delivery, it’s crucial that you:

  • Provide a brooder heat source that maintains 100–105°F in the warm zone for the first 48 hours.

  • Ensure the chicks have access to a cooler area to prevent overheating.

  • Avoid using puppy pads, which can lead to foot and leg problems.

🛑 IMPORTANT: POST-DELIVERY GUARANTEE LIMITATIONS

Our Safe and Timely Delivery Guarantee ends once your poultry arrives alive and within the promised timeframe. After that point, we cannot offer refunds or replacements.

Raising live poultry inherently carries some risk—even when following best care practices. Occasionally, losses may occur due to uncontrollable or unknown factors. While this risk ultimately belongs to the buyer, over 98% of our customers report success when following our expert guidance and videos.

🔄 RETURN POLICY – NON-POULTRY ITEMS

For all items excluding live poultry and hatching eggs, we offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee:

  • Prior approval is required. Call or email us to initiate a return.

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all documentation.

  • A 10% restocking fee may apply.

  • Items shipped directly from the factory may have additional return restrictions.

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance.

If your item arrives damaged, ask the delivery driver to note the damage if possible. If you discover damage after opening, contact us immediately and we’ll assist you with the resolution process.

Be sure to include your invoice number when returning an item.

Note: Additional shipping charges apply to orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or other U.S. territories.

Every bird from Chicks Hatchery Store is backed by our guarantee of grade, quality, sex, and breed as listed at the time of sale. If any mistake is made on our part, we will promptly correct it.

We adhere to industry best practices in flock control, egg selection, and disease prevention. However, we do not guarantee that poultry will be entirely disease-free, as certain conditions may not be detectable at time of sale.

Our liability is strictly limited to the replacement of affected chicks (with extra chicks included where applicable), and any such replacement is a one-time courtesy. Under no circumstances will compensation exceed the total price paid.

We proudly participate in the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) for poultry health and safety.

Many of the poultry images featured on our website are representations of the breed standard and may not always reflect our exact bloodlines. That said, a large percentage are from our own flocks.

Our breeding program is designed to produce chicks that will mature into birds with physical characteristics similar to those shown. Keep in mind that natural variance exists even among pure breeds, and show-quality birds are often the top example of an entire flock.
